Conversion of the Leeds Civic Theatre into a Museum. The project involved considerable remodelling of the remaining building to accommodate the new museum lay out which alongside the removal of asbestos and a comprehensive strip out of the building, encompassed extensive structural alterations. These included re-roofing works and the demolition of staircases, floors and internal structural walls around extensive temporary works. The works also involved the strip out of the existing auditorium including the stage, proscenium arch, tiered seating and back stage equipment and dressing rooms. All this had to be carried out within a tight and intricate program of works.
